Physicality

This scrimmage will be closed to the media, so we’ll have to depend on the information provided by Mike Norvell when he speaks with the media afterward.

I’m sure the coaching staff will spend a lot of the scrimmage in situations like third and short and goal line packages. In those situations, we need to know the team has the right mentality when it comes to physicality.

FSU struggled on both sides of the ball in these situations last year in the trenches, and the added talent and experience from the transfer portal should bode well for improvement in these areas.

I’m curious to know if the defensive line can free up more opportunities for the linebackers to make plays behind the line of scrimmage.

I’m also curious how the defensive backs will fair when it comes to physicality. Jammie Robinson played with a physical mentality, but he’s no longer there. Will any of the newcomers bring that type of an edge?

Which names will we hear Mike Norvell mention when he speaks to the media afterward?
