Offensive Line

The notion FSU’s offensive line isn’t any good anymore can be put to bed. Opposing teams can’t put on the tape of the offensive line and deter players from wanting to come to play for FSU Offensive Coordinator Alex Atkins.

The group has more serviceable parts and depth than in years past. FSU had one of the best-rushing offenses nationally(without Jordan Travis running a ton) and tied for No. 37 nationally with 20 sacked allowed. That number was the lowest it’s been since the 2009 season.

FSU coaches have said they’d like to have a solid eight players to rotate in and out, and it looks like they could have upwards of 12 at this spot if everyone stays healthy and continues to develop.

The question is what’s the starting five? Who are the first guys in the rotation off of the bench? Alex Atkins cross-trains his guys, so which guys can play multiple positions in the event of an injury to a starter?

Will the transfers Jeremiah Byers, Casey Roddick, and Keiondre Jones take someone’s spot? Who steps up to replace Robert Scott, who’s missing spring camp with an injury.

This FSU offensive line could be dominant at times in 2023, but it’s about finding the right combinations to maximize the running and passing game.
