FSU football started its second week of spring practice this week as the fourth year of the Mike Norvell era is underway.

The players have endured strength and conditioning, weightlifting, and the Tour of Duty workouts over the past months. It shows because this is the best-looking team Mike Norvell has had from a sheer physical and depth standpoint.

Expectations are as high as they’ve been in close to a decade, and we got to see some real glimpses of what Mike Norvell’s offense can be in Tallahassee last year.

The development of Jordan Travis and the emergence of a quality offensive line, coupled with wide receiver help from the transfer portal, helped FSU become arguably the most explosive offense in the nation.

FSU has added quality talent from the transfer portal again, plus some talent from the high school ranks who look poised to contribute in 2023. It’s not a question of if the offense will be good. It’s a question of how good.

We saw the offense look elite for long stretches in 2022, but we also saw the offense disappear for nearly half the game. It’s all about the consistency in 2023 for Mike Norvell’s squad.
