AJ Duffy

I know you see AJ Duffy’s picture, and you’re thinking how’s he going to emerge? I don’t mean to emerge to challenge Jordan Travis for the starting job, but I think Duffy will use this spring camp to close the gap between him and Tate Rodemaker.

The main reason that will happen is the addition of Brock Glenn. I watched some of the footage from the Tour of Duty, and Glenn is someone whose work ethic was apparent.

That’s what AJ Duffy needed to push him to reach the next level because otherwise he’ll find himself behind Glenn on the depth chart. Mike Norvell mentioned they threw a lot at Duffy in his first spring camp last season, and he handled it better than any young QB he’s had.

All reports indicate he’s already looking better than he did all last season and seems to know where to go with the ball.

Jordan Travis ascending to elite status will likely provide Duffy and others opportunities to have more reps with the starters.

I think Duffy will start to shine with the increase competition in the room and could put himself in position to challenge Rodemaker in 2024.
