Which Players Will Emerge

FSU football has several players on both sides of the ball who have proven they can play at a high level. Jordan Travis, Trey Benson, Johnny Wilson, Jared Verse, Tatum Bethune, Patrick Payton, Fabien Lovett, Renardo Green, Kalen Deloach, and a few others come to mind.

However, there are several players capable of becoming difference-makers for the Noles. I’m thinking of a mixture of young players and those where injuries have kept them off the field. I’m thinking about players like Darion Williamson and Deuce Spann at wide receiver.

Rodney Hill, Caziah Holmes, Omar Graham Jr., Daniel Lyons, Kentron Poitier, and Byron Turner Jr. could see their snaps increase significantly, especially if FSU wins several games in blowout fashion, as we expect.

A few of the 2023 freshmen who enrolled this spring could become factors. The young crop of offensive linemen from the 2022 recruiting class could begin to get on the field, according to FSU offensive coordinator Alex Atkins.

This spring camp will be huge for these players looking to find their way into the playing rotation. These are the names I’d keep a watch out for as coaches speak after practices.
