More Talent Overall

I’ve mentioned the talent brought in from the transfer portal. The FSU defensive line will be the best it has been since Mike Norvell arrived.

The additions of Darrell Jackson and Braden Fiske will allow Odell Haggins to rotate defensive tackles more without suffering a drop-off.

The addition of Gilber Edmonds gives FSU another pass rusher to compliment Jared Verse and Patrick Payton. Fentrell Cypress immediately upgrades one of the cornerback positions. Jaheim Bell immediately upgrades the tight end position. Jeremiah Byers, Casey Roddick, and Keiondre Jones immediately upgrade the offensive line.

The talent and experience, coupled with the returning experience and production from last year make FSU football one of the most obvious choices to be among the top programs in the country in 2023.

The biggest issue that hurt FSU the past couple of seasons has been lack of overall talent and depth. FSU isn’t where it needs to be from an overall talent standpoint, but the talent AND experience returning will give them a chance to beat anyone in the country next year.
