Big Wide Receivers

FSU has two wide receiver commits, and both list shorter than 6’0″ and 180 pounds. They both possess speed and quickness that will be nightmare matchups for nickel corners, safeties, and linebackers.

However, FSU will need bigger wide receivers to complement them. FSU will almost assuredly lose Johnny Wilson after the 2023 season.

Five-star Hykeem Williams should gain experience and become a factor in 2024, but it’s possible the Noles could lose 1-2 more of their larger wide receivers after the 2023 season. They already lost Malik McClain to the transfer portal.

There’s Kentron Poitier, Darion Williamson, Deuce Spann, and Joshua Burrell, who list at 6’2″ or taller. However, there are lots of question marks surrounding that group of receivers.

Poitier is the most proven, but the 2023 season will likely determine who’s staying and who’s hitting the transfer portal.

It wouldn’t be crazy to think at least one could hit the portal after spring camp. The good news is FSU has a few targets remaining on the board that could fit this need.
