Recruiting Board Starting To Take Shape

The coaching staff getting these guys on campus does a few things. It allows them to see them physically to gauge if they’ve added size since the last time they’ve seen them face-to-face.

It allows them to have conversations that can place a recruit higher or lower on the recruiting board. If players who are currently committed to other schools visit, that at least lets the coaches know they’re still in the mix.

These players visiting allows them to meet some of the current players who can help the coaching staff determine if they’d be a good fit culture-wise. All of these things are valuable in helping the recruiting board take shape.

FSU is in a great spot and has already filled several roster needs in the class. They have a great foundation at QB, RB, two safeties, two wide receivers, a defensive tackle, a defensive end, and the best kicker in the class.

That’s why I said they can afford to be selective with who they take in the rest of the class. Did I mention six of these guys rank as blue chips?

These Junior Days tell me FSU should have a great shot at having a top 10 class this year if they take enough high school recruits.
