Why 2023 Transfer Class Is Poised To Have Biggest Impact

There’s a reason the 2023 transfer class has such a high per-player average ranking. Six of the nine transfer players have starting experience at Power Five programs, unlike most of the players in the past few classes. Heck, one of the players(Fentrell Cypress) was an All-ACC player last year.

There have been some players expected to come in and compete for starter reps or to start outright. However, I expect all nine transfer players in this class to play significant reps in the 2023 season.

The good news is they all have enrolled in the spring semester and will have some familiarity with expectations and their roles on the team once the season begins. These players are simply at a higher caliber overall than in past recruiting classes, which is why FSU has the highest per-player average ranking in the nation (91.44).

This transfer recruiting class should produce multiple All-ACC players with impact players on both sides of the ball. FSU coaches will likely add more players once the portal reopens after spring ball.

They still need a safety and possibly a linebacker, so this transfer class could get even better and why FSU football fans have confidence the Noles can reclaim the ACC and compete for a college football playoff spot in 2023.
