2023 Transfer Class Compared To 2022

The 2021 transfer class ranked No. 11 with 14 players (three didn’t play due to injury and another had to sit because of when they entered the portal), with Jared Verse, Trey Benson, D’Mitri Emmanuel, Mycah Pittman, Tatum Bethune, and Johnny Wilson earning All-ACC honors.

Other available players found ways to contribute. Jazston Turnetine developed into an important offensive lineman who eventually started when others went down with injuries. Deuce Spann wasn’t expected to contribute at all, but appeared in 12 games and had a few receptions.

Greedy Vance had a rough start to the season but finished strong while leading the team with three interceptions. The good news is 11 of these transfers will be available for the 2023 season.

The average per-player ranking for this class was 81.41, which is a clear indication FSU coaches know more about evaluating than these recruiting sites.

As I mentioned, the transfer rankings have improved, which is why the 2023 class per-player ranking is 91.44.
