2023 Transfer Class Compared To 2020

The 2020 transfer class ranked No. 4 with 10 players(I think one was a walk-on), with Fabien Lovett, Jashaun Corbin, and Devontay Love-Taylor eventually earning All-ACC honors.

Some other players worked themselves into roles on the field. Jordan Wilson had a solid 2021 season after missing all of 2020 with an injury. J

]arrian Jones had a solid 2022 season after playing injured for much of the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Jarrett Jackson was serviceable as a defensive tackle, and everyone else was mostly non-contributors.

Transfer player rankings have gotten better since the portal opened. The average per-player ranking for the 2020 class was 84.64.

The players in this class didn’t come with lots of fanfare or starting P5 experience. That won’t be the case for the 2023 transfer class.

The average per-player ranking for that class is 91.44. That’s the difference between a low three-star and a high four-star player.
