FSU football: Top impact transfer players from 2022 recruiting class
By Kelvin Hunt
D’Mitri Emmanuel
Charlotte offensive lineman D’Mitri Emmanuel joined the program in time for summer workouts and immediately made his presence felt.
Emmanuel played for FSU O-line coach Alex Atkins for a season before Atkin transitioned to FSU. It helped there was a prior relationship which was key in putting Emmanuel in the best position to find success in his lone season with the Noles.
He started at guard along with All-ACC player Dillan Gibbons, earning All-ACC Third Team honors. I mentioned the value of Jazston Turnetine, but Emmanuel played at a consistent level most of the season on the interior, which helped the Noles become the top rushing program in the ACC.
Emmanuel is one of the key contributors that helped FSU’s tackles for a loss total decrease from 2021.
FSU allowed a tackle for a loss on 10.1 percent of their plays in 2021, and saw that percentage drop to 8.5 percent in 2022.
