FSU football: How high can 2023 recruiting class finish?

Parting Thoughts
The folks that say Mike Norvell can’t recruit high school players are misinformed. Eight of FSU’s 16 commits rank in the top 350, and they have the No. 5 JUCO defensive end committed.
It’s all about finding the right players for your scheme instead of blindly chasing stars and signing players that will likely never play to boost your high school ranking.
This FSU football staff is one of the best at evaluating talent and why they’re the first to offer before so many other schools. Mike Norvell understands what’s important.
He’s landed a quality QB every recruiting cycle, and FSU landed one of the best offensive and defensive lines last recruiting cycle. Those three components are what wins games.
All he’s doing at this point is circumventing the need to play young players before they’re ready by using the transfer portal. The folks saying transfer portal recruiting isn’t sustainable have no data to prove it.
The key is getting players with multiple years of eligibility left and getting them to enroll in the spring semester to have more time to learn their roles and make an impact that fall. Norvell has threaded that needle better than anyone in college football.
If you don’t think high school recruiting will get better under Mike Norvell, all you have to do is look at the six players already committed for 2024.
