FSU football: How high can 2023 recruiting class finish?

2023 HS Recruiting
FSU football coaches entered the 2023 recruiting season with more proof of concept, despite only winning five games in 2021. However, they needed to prove they could take that next step and win to dispel other teams’ negative recruiting angles.
A 4-0 start didn’t hurt, and finishing the season with nine regular season wins has propelled FSU to its highest percentage of blue-chip commits under Mike Norvell’s tenure.
FSU has a 50 percent blue-chip ratio(it was 56 percent until Brock Glenn’s composite score dropped to a three-star) with 16 high school commits.
FSU continues to be selective among the high school players, hitting some key positions while getting a higher-quality player from the transfer portal. FSU’s 2023 class ranks No. 18 overall(high school only), but they could easily be top 10-15 if they added nine more three-star players.
That’s how the sheer volume of commits affects overall high school class rankings and why recruiting rankings don’t mean as much as they used to 10 years ago.
I expect FSU to possibly lose a three-star defensive commit because he’s deciding against signing during the Early Signing Period, but I expect them to gain about four more high school commits.
That would give them 19 high school commits and a 47 percent blue-chip ratio. Those 19 commits would be high enough for a No. 15 finish(right now). However, they have already added three transfer portal players who could make an impact in 2023 and will likely add about 5-7 more.
