FSU football moved up one spot in the final regular season AP Top 25 poll. FSU ranked No. 14 last week before moving to No. 13 after the Conference Championship Saturday.

The Noles are the third-highest-ranked team, with three losses behind Big 12 champion Kansas State and PAC-12 champion Utah.

FSU checks in as the second-highest ACC team behind Clemson, who rolled over North Carolina Saturday night.

The entire top 25 poll is below:

FSU awaits to see who they’ll face in their bowl game. USC losing against Utah in their championship game could alter what bowl the Noles play in. If I had to guess, they’ll remain in-state which is attractive because they have a fan base that’ll travel well.

The No. 13 ranking is the highest regular-season finish for the Noles since they finished No. 11 at the conclusion of the 2016 regular season.

The Noles went on to defeat the Michigan Wolverines in the Orange Bowl behind an incredible performance by FSU running back great Dalvin Cook.

FSU is the only team in the state of Florida to finish in the top 25. That’s so ironic when I had UCF fans chirping on social media a couple of weeks ago about how they were on par with the Noles.

Not to mention Miami fans bragging earlier in the year about beginning the season (undeservedly ranked so high. It’s not where you start, but where you finish! The hope is the Noles will receive a good opponent for its bowl game.

CBS Sports project the Noles to play in the Duke Mayo Bowl against Minnesota. No thanks. The Action Network projects FSU to play in the Cheez-It Bowl against Oklahoma. Texas Tech and Maryland are two other teams I’ve seen floated out there.

FSU should beat all of those teams provided all of their starters play in the bowl game.
