The scary part about Mike Norvell’s offense is it could have been even better if they capitalized in some key situations throughout the season.

I think about the number of times FSU failed to score a touchdown in the red zone earlier in the season. I think about the number of dropped passes from the wide receivers and tight ends throughout the year.

The offense could have easily averaged closer to 40 points per game, and over seven yards per play had they not had those issues.

The good news? If Jordan Travis returns, and I expect him to, the majority of the pieces that contributed to this season will return in 2023.

FSU will lose Ontaria Wilson, Camren McDonald, Dillan Gibbons, and D’Mitri Emmanuel. However, Winston Wright could replace Wilson and Markeston Douglas, and/or someone from the transfer portal could replace McDonald’s production.

I expect the FSU offensive line to be better in 2023, so that will soften the losses of Dillon and Emmanuel.

The running back room might see some changes, but it’s one of the most stacked units on the team. It’s a unit that I will never worry about with Mike Norvell as the head coach. Everything points to the offense remaining elite in 2023.
