UF Offensive Line Better Than I Thought

I knew FSU would score 30+ points on the Florida Gators’ defense as it was the weakest unit on their team. However, it was how the FSU defense would play against the Florida offense that I couldn’t figure out.

I knew Florida had a good offensive line going into the game. I pointed out how they only allowed 12 sacks all season.

They also had one of the better running games in the nation, and both aspects showed up Friday night.

FSU football only had one sack and three tackles for a loss in the game. The Gators ran for well over 200 rushing yards, granted they got away with quite a bit of holding in the game, especially on the edge against Jared Verse.

They opened up sizable holes against the FSU defensive line, and we couldn’t use the excuse FSU had starters out.

I think part of it was they had to respect the run threat Anthony Richardson brought to the game.

However, when the game was on the line, Adam Fuller brought enough pressure to force Anthony Richardson to make inaccurate throws. I know some folks were complaining about not stopping Florida’s offense, but they legitimately have a good offensive line and rushing attack.

They had rushed for over 200 rushing yards seven times going into the FSU game.
