FSU football made it harder than it had to be, and the Florida Gators didn’t lay down the same way the Miami Hurricanes did when the going got tough.

FSU did what they always do when things get tough, they bit down on their mouthpiece and kept swinging. Florida opened leads of 14-7, 21-14, and 24-21 in the first half.

However, the Noles scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter to take control of the game. The crazy part is FSU didn’t play anywhere close to their best game.

They turned the ball over on the opening drive. FSU receivers dropped what felt like a gazillion passes, FSU had communication issues in the secondary, FSU missed a 37-yard field goal, FSU had issues stopping Florida’s running attack, and had to overcome the SEC ref bias.

However, despite that, FSU proved to be the better team and still should have won the game by 10 points(missed field goal).

It was a big win for Mike Norvell and the staff, and they showed a lot of emotional maturity in the game compared to last year. Here are five takeaways.
