Point blank, it wouldn’t be a good look for Mike Norvell, who’s in year three at FSU to lose to a first-year head coach.

Not to mention, it’s a home game, and the Noles are near double-digit betting favorites. Plus, Florida will be without several starters at wide receiver.

Now, we could ask who would throw to those wide receivers if they played because Anthony Richardson isn’t a great passing quarterback.

If FSU lost this game at home against a team that’s barely over .500 and missing some starters on offense as double-digit betting favorites?

That would be a bitter pill to swallow and would give the Gators some momentum going into the offseason. FSU needs to treat this game like Miami and try to beat them as badly as possible.

That’s a narrative FSU could sell on the recruiting trail regarding the gap between the two programs. That’s not something we want Billy Napier to have access to.
