FSU football: 3 huge facts about 2022 Florida Gators

Anthony Richardson’s Inconsistencies
If you can’t tell, I like FSU’s offense and how they match up against the Gator’s defense. I’ve said it all season if the FSU offense shows up and scores 30+ points, I think they can win every game on the schedule.
I believe that holds Friday night too. The one X-factor Florida has is quarterback Anthony Richardson. Their offense ranks No. 21 via FEI advanced metrics. Their offense will go as he goes, and he’s a capable passer but much more dangerous with his legs.
However, it’s the inconsistencies as a passer that will likely be the key to FSU’s success on defense.
Richardson only completes 55.8 percent of his passes and only surpasses the 60 percent completion rate three times this year.
He completed 17 of 24 for 178 yards in the season opener against Utah. We’ll throw the game out against Eastern Washington.
That leaves Texas A&M, which saw him complete 17 of 28 for 208 yards. Richardson has attempted 30+ passes in four games this year, and the Gators have lost all four games.
That tells me if you stop the run game and make him throw it, the percentages say he won’t be able to make enough throws to beat you.
