Make Miami’s Offense Execute (Keys to Victory)

Here’s an excerpt from what I said:

"It sounds fairly simple for Adam Fuller. FSU has to stop the run and avoid getting beat over the top with explosive plays, and that’s something they’ve excelled at all season, even with key players out with injuries. Miami will likely play multiple quarterbacks, and all of them have different games and will be playing behind a patchwork offensive line. Miami has allowed 21 sacks (No. 92 nationally) and 45 tackles for a loss(No. 71 nationally). If we combine those aspects with their inability to convert on third downs at a high percentage, that makes it unlikely they will score a lot of points since they won’t be able to put together 7-8+ play drives."

Miami only ran 52 offensive plays and had two drives of 6+ plays in the first half. They converted 4 of 13 third downs and only had 76 total yards in the first half.

Miami only had 62 passing yards in the game and the Canes only had three plays of 15+ yards, and most of those came with the FSU starters out.
