FSU Played Arguably Its Most Complete Game & In Position To Finish Strong

There isn’t much to not like from the FSU domination of Miami Saturday night. The only negative that comes to mind is the interception throw by Jordan Travis when the Noles were in a position to put Miami away really early in the game.

A touchdown on that possession, and Miami definitely quits. It wound up seemingly like a punt because Miami started that possession inside their five-yard line and ultimately punted. However, FSU was 6 of 11 on third downs.

They ran the ball with ease and had some explosive passing plays. They were the more physical team in all aspects. They played better on special teams than Miami. The defense got off the field on third downs and forced turnovers. The defense didn’t allow a touchdown on the first possession of the second half.

It was pure domination and sets up the Noles nicely for the rest of the season. They have three games remaining and will likely be the betting favorite in all three, with two of them taking place at Doak Campbell Stadium.

If they can avoid the letdown next week after a big rivalry win, they have a real shot to win nine regular season games. All they have to do is take care of business three more times like they did Saturday night.
