FSU defense will force two turnovers

I know people have criticized the FSU defense for the inability to take the ball away from opposing offenses. I suppose it’s fair, but that blame has to go on the players more than the coaches.

FSU had 20 takeaways last season and has been in a position to have several more this year, but players have failed to make plays when they have opportunities.

Miami turned it over three times last year against FSU, and I think we’ll see multiple turnovers again this year for two reasons.

If Tyler Van Dyke plays, he hasn’t seen live action in a couple of weeks and could be rusty. Miami has the propensity to fumble the ball too. Also, if Van Dyke doesn’t play and those duties fall to inexperienced players like Jake Garcia and Jacurri Brown?

I can see those two players giving the ball to FSU a few times. The Hurricanes have turned it over multiple times in three of their eight games and turned it over at least once in six of their eight.

The FSU defense is due for turnover luck after not having a takeaway in the last two games.
