FSU football: 3 huge facts about 2022 Miami Hurricanes

Massive Gap Between FSU and Miami This Year
I’ve pointed out the difference in the strength of schedule between the two schools, but the raw stats and advanced metrics lay out the gap between them.
FSU ranks as the No. 28 team overall, No. 19 on offense, and No. 47 on defense, with the latter dealing with major injuries to key players all season.
If FSU had a healthy defense all season, they’d likely rank at least top 35. The good news is Saturday will mark the healthiest the team has been in quite some time. Miami ranks as the No. 75 team overall, No. 89 on offense, and No. 54 on defense.
FSU has the better QB, running backs, offensive line, wide receivers, defensive line, linebackers, and safeties. The only edge I’d give Miami is the tight end because they have Will Mallory.
Miami fans don’t know how Miami will score enough points to win the game with how they have struggled on offense all season.
They’ve also seen FSU’s offense run through decent to good defenses at times this season. The over/under in the game is 53 points, which implies a 31-23 type of game. If FSU gets 30+ points, it’s a wrap.
The only times they haven’t hit 30 points this year is because they shot themselves in the foot. FSU won’t lose to Miami unless FSU beats FSU, and that has only happened against three teams who are much better than Miami.
