Miami Hurricanes Have Played A Cupcake Schedule

Miami has played the No. 95 toughest schedule through eight games this year. Here’s a list of the team records of the teams Miami has played thus far:

  • Bethune Cookman(2-6) Win
  • Southern Miss(5-3) Win
  • Texas A&M(3-5) Loss
  • Middle Tennessee State(4-4) Loss
  • North Carolina(7-1) Loss
  • Virginia Tech(2-6) Win
  • Duke(5-3) Loss
  • Virginia(3-5) Win

Those teams combined have a 31-33 overall record, and Miami hasn’t beaten a Power 5 team with a winning record all season. The two Power 5 teams Miami has beaten combine to have one Power 5 win all year.

I said all preseason it was a joke Miami ranked top 20 and got as high as No. 13 after starting the season 2-0. I knew they were overrated, but even I didn’t know they were this terrible. For comparision sake, FSU has played the No. 34 toughest schedule, with all three losses against ranked teams by a combined score of 18.
