FSU Offense Has To Stop Wasting Opportunities

The FSU offense had two dropped passes on its first possession, which resulted in a turnover on downs on the GT 33-yard line.

The next possession saw the FSU fumble the ball away after getting to the GT one-yard line. Toafili fumbled again in the second quarter, this time on the Georgia Tech 36-yard line.

Mycah Pittman dropped a pass that would have been a touchdown on down on the GT one-yard line before the half that ultimately resulted in a field goal.

Johnny Wilson dropped a touchdown pass at the beginning of the fourth quarter, leading to another field goal. Do you see how many points they left on the board?

Not to mention how many times they started a possession near mid-field and didn’t score a touchdown. It’s maddening the offense doesn’t receive anywhere near the same criticism as the defense.

I’ll say it again for the folks in the back because the FSU defense has played well enough for this team to be 7-1. If the offense could eliminate the mistakes in the red zone and turning the ball over? I’d almost guarantee they would win the next four games.
