FSU offensive line played well

One of the things Georgia Tech does well defensively is creating tackles for a loss. They came into the game ranked inside the top 25 in that category, and the FSU offensive line effectively negated them for the most part.

Georgia Tech only had one sack, two QB hurries, and three tackles for a loss the entire day. There were a few plays where running backs had to maneuver in the backfield to avoid tackles, but they had some great running lanes most of the day.

It’s why the running game had 246 yards on 43 rush attempts, averaging 5.7 yards per rush and two touchdowns. They also did well in pass protection, one sack on 39 pass attempts will do.

The only negative thing would be the amount of penalties (a couple of them were bogus) and the coaches not having confidence in them on the goal line.

FSU coaches have to find a way to get the ball in the end zone instead of getting cute when it’s short yardarge near the goal line.
