FSU football will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Saturday at noon for a chance to climb back above .500 on the season.

The Noles enter the contest as more than a three-touchdown betting favorite after the Yellow Jackets lost at home to Virginia, who hadn’t defeated a Power 5 team until last week.

I know the betting spread and how the Yellow Jackets have performed thus far have FSU fans brimming with confidence, and I fully expect the Noles to win the game.

However, it may not be as easy as we think, given how the FSU offense has performed and how Georgia Tech plays defense.

While Georgia Tech’s defense isn’t elite, I think they are a victim of trying to play complimentary football with a terrible offense averaging 16 points per game.

They played one top-10 offense in Ole Miss and got torched for 42 points and allowed 6.75 yards per play.

UCF has a top 25 offense and the Yellow Jackets held them to 4.56 ypp and 27 points, but they are fairly one-dimensional with a QB that can’t throw that well.

Georgia Tech does a few things fairly well on defense. Let’s take a look at them.
