FSU football and the Miami Hurricanes haven’t been good over the past few seasons. Well, Miami hasn’t been good in over two decades, but the rivalry still holds some weight.

Thanks in large part to FSU looking like a functional team and going 4-3 against one of the toughest schedules out there, unlike the Miami Hurricanes, who only have one Power 5 win all season against lowly Virginia Tech.

Miami has blowout losses against Middle Tennessee State and Duke while struggling to put away Southern Mississippi and Bethune Cookman early.

Almost all Miami’s games have been on some random streaming application or Bally’s Sports at noon. However, thanks to the box office boyz, Miami will finally appear on a real TV station in primetime. The game time announcement came Monday morning:

FSU football fans had a field day on social media trolling the Miami program. Check out some of their responses to the announcement below.

Thoughts

I’m surprised the game will be a night game, considering how bad Miami has looked this year and how empty their stadium has been on TV because their fans never show up to games.

I’ve saw several fans mention they were not going to the FSU game because of how terrible they have looked, especially against Duke.

However, FSU fans have a growing confidence for that game, especially if they play well agaisnt Georgia Tech this week. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Hard Rock turn into Doak South again like in past years.

This game will be a great opportunity for the Noles to build on their win over the Canes last year.

A win would be a huge blemish on Mario Cristobal’s first year with the program and likely help the Noles seize more control over in-state recruiting, especially in south Florida.
