Opening Kickoff Second Half

I literally had typed it on my Twitter account that Adam Fuller and the defense had to get a stop to open the third quarter.

FSU special teams had been dynamite all season, so it was a surprise they missed a gazillion tackles on the opening kickoff in the second half to allow a 69-yard return.

Clemson began their drive on the FSU 31-yard and only needed one pass to put seven more points on the scoreboard to make it 31-14. It sucked they allowed the 31-yard pass, but I can’t put that score on the defense because Clemson literally began the drive in field goal range.

FSU football has been a team that doesn’t quit, so even with the halftime deficit, you held out hope they could get some stops and get back into the game.

The crazy part is that fumble and then the opening kickoff may have been the two most important moments in the game.

That’s a 14-point swing, not to mention the field goal off the turnover on downs.
