No Points After Huge Mycah Pittman Punt Return

FSU wasted a prime opportunity to take control of the game early. The offense did a great job starting the game with a touchdown on their first possession, followed by the defense forcing a punt.

The Noles led 7-0 and Mycah Pittman returned the Clemson punt 31-yard to the FSU 49. Listen, the FSU offense has the ball at mid-field with a chance to go up 10-0 or 14-0, but runs three plays for -13 yards and has to punt from the FSU 36-yard line.

That’s something that can’t happen against good teams. Clemson got the ball and scored on their next possession when Adam Fuller blitzed a defensive back off the edge, who should have sacked the Clemson QB.

However, he misses the tackle and hits a wide-open receiver for a 59-yard touchdown to tie the game because Akeem Dent got lost in coverage somehow.

I think all the folk hollering for Adam Fuller to be more aggressive got a taste of why he doesn’t do it much. The guys don’t make plays when they’re in position.

Instead of 10 or 14-7, it’s 7-7, but at least FSU answered with a touchdown on their next offensive possession.
