Parting Thoughts and Prediction

It’s a home game for the Noles, and the atmosphere will be electric, plus some elite recruits will be in attendance.

The last time the Noles played at night in Doak Campbell Stadium, they dominated Boston College. I expect this game to be close, but I could see the FSU passing attack hitting some explosive plays if the players can actually make the catches in those critical moments.

I think FSU will continue to force Clemson to execute their offense like they’ve done opposing offenses all year. However, they will need get pressure on DJ Uiagalelei to force some errant throws in key situations. FSU linebacker play will be key in this game, and FSU defensive backs will have to give great effort in one-on-one situations.

I think the FSU defense will give the Noles a chance to win the game, but this game will come down to if the FSU offense can find itself again. If we see the offense from the first few games of the year? FSU can beat Clemson without question.

We’ve seen it in spurts, but FSU hasn’t been able to find the consistency needed against the better teams in the past two games. Jordan Travis hasn’t looked as comfortable in the last two outings like he did in the first few games.

Will that change Saturday night? It’s possible, and Mike Norvell always seems to have something up this sleeve in these types of games.

My heart wants to pick the Noles, but Clemson’s offense may have improved just enough to edge the Noles again with how the FSU offense has been inconsistent.

I’m going to go with Clemson getting the win  27-20.
