Wake Forest Against Clemson

Clemson took a quick 14-0 lead over Wake Forest before the Demon Deacons cut the lead to 17-14 mid-way through the second quarter. A late Clemson field goal gave Clemson a 20-14 lead at halftime.

However, Wake Forest scored touchdowns on their first two possessions in the third quarter to take a 28-20 lead before Clemson answered with a touchdown and two-point conversion to tie the game 28-28. Wake Forest scored another touchdown on their third possession to take a 35-28 lead into the fourth quarter before Clemson tied the game at 35-35 with 11 minutes remaining.

Wake Forest hit Clemson’s defense with the same offensive barrage of three consecutive possessions with touchdowns. They hit FSU with it early and the Noles adjusted, but they hit Clemson with them in the second half.
