Parting Thoughts and Prediction

If Robert Scott plays and is serviceable, I like FSU to win this game. I know it’s a road game and history hasn’t been kind to the Noles at Carter-Finley Stadium.

However, this is a different team with different players. They’ve played in hostile environments twice at night this season and came out victorious.

Just like the Wake Forest game, this game will come down to how effective the offense can be against NC State’s defense. If FSU scores 28 points, I like their chances in this one. I don’t see NC State’s offense running up and down the field.

In fact, the FSU defense last year held them in check aside from a blown coverage from Jarrian Jones and some missed tackles in the second half from a gassed defense because the offense couldn’t sustain any drives.

The Noles will need to get off to a great start to take the crowd out of the game and avoid self-inflicted problems and turnovers.

If they can do that, I like the Noles to win 28-24.
