Parting Thoughts

Overall, FSU football had a costly turnover, too many penalties, and played bad situational football against a good offensive team and still had a chance late in the game.

I think that speaks to the potential of this FSU team. They were down 28-7 and made a game of it against a team that can score a lot of points.

That’s usually a death sentence for the Noles, but if they clean up a few things, they can still make some noise in the ACC Atlantic division.

As Mike Norvell says, it’s about them and not their opponents. The Wake Forest game is a prime example of how self-inflicted wounds cost them. They have two tough games coming up, with the next one on the road at a place that’s a tough place to play at night.

I don’t think many folks will give them a shot at winning that game, but it’s a position where they can put that chip back on their shoulder and prove people wrong.

I thought back to what Mike Norvell said after practices this week. He said he liked the effort, but they needed to execute better. Well, you play how you practice, and it showed up Saturday.

Here’s to hoping they can get healthy and better from the loss.
