FSU Offense

The FSU defense has improved over last year, but the FSU offense is the biggest difference-maker. Jordan Travis played a few snaps last year and torched Wake Forest on 5 of 6 passes for 107 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

The latter came on a hail mary at the end of the 2nd quarter. The 2022 version of Jordan Travis is something none of us knew was possible, and I’m sure Dave Clawson is thinking the same thing.

He has complete and utter command of the FSU offense and has more weapons than you can shake a stick at. The offensive line is better, despite all the injuries, and the advanced decision-making of Travis helps even more.

The FSU wide receivers are among the best in the conference, and the FSU running attack features a three-headed monster that can beat you in many ways. Camren McDonald is a receiving threat. Oh wait, that’s without Jordan Travis using his legs at all or getting the running backs involved in the passing game.

This FSU offense can keep pace with Wake Forest this year, unlike last year. I also think FSU’s defense can get more stops against Wake Forest’s offense than vice versa.

A Clemson quarterback that’s been fairly terrible just lit Wake Forest’s defense up last week. I can only imagine what Jordan Travis and this offense can do if they continue to play as they have been. FSU isn’t going to turn it over six times, and McKenzie Milton won’t be out there on quarterback sneaks inside the five yard line.
