FSU football will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons Saturday at 3:30 p.m.(Hurricane Ian pending. It’s an opportunity for the Noles to move to 5-0 for the first time since 2015.

The Noles had a dominant win against Boston College in week four, with Wake Forest losing in double overtime against Clemson at home.

FSU Seminoles vs. Wake Forest Odds Week 5

FSU football comes in as a betting favorite at -7, a money line of -270, and over/under at 66. That means FSU has to defeat Wake Forest by at least eight points for your -7 bet against the spread to win.

If you bet the money line for FSU to win straight up, that means you’d have to bet $270 to win $100. The over/under implies a 37-30 score favoring FSU football.

FSU has the more complete team overall. Both offenses can score, but FSU has the better defense and more talent overall. However, that was the same against Clemson, expect Clemson’s offense isn’t as good as FSU’s.

Clemson was the betting favorite on the road at -7 against Wake Forest last week, which implies they would have been favored by -9 or -10 at home.

The Noles played Wake Forest last year with McKenzie Milton as the quarterback and had not figured out their defensive woes yet. That won’t be the case if they play Saturday, though FSU could still be without a couple of starters.

FSU Seminoles vs. Wake Forest Prediction Week 5

I’ll save my prediction for later in the week, but this is a game the Noles can win. If they had Fabien Lovett and Jared Verse for this game, that would increase my confidence quite a bit.

Doak Campbell Stadium was rocking Saturday night and we’ll have to wait and see how Hurricane Ian affects things.

I would expect it’ll affect a number of folk planning to attend the game, so FSU will likely not have the home crowd they would otherwise. There’s nothing we can do but sit back and wait.
