FSU football: 5 takeaways from blowout win over Boston College

A Different FSU WR Can Beat You Any Night
I remember some FSU media folks talking about the wide receiver corps and how critical they were in the spring. It’s funny how you don’t hear those folks talking that way anymore.
FSU has played four games and had four different receivers lead the team with receptions and yards each game. Darion Williamson led all receivers with five receptions for 98 yards before leaving the game after getting nicked up.
It’s a deep receiving corps, and FSU had six different wide receivers to catch a pass Saturday night. The average yards per reception was 18.6, and that’s wth the offensive approach becoming more conservative with such a large lead late in the game.
We haven’t seen a passing attack like this in Tallahassee since 2016. It’s a testament to the buy in players have and their willingness to do the little things well.
They are blocking for one another on tunnel screens and in the run game. This unit could be the difference in some wins and losses later on the schedule.
