There Is No Quit In This Team

I’m not gon lie, I didn’t start writing the recap of the game until it was over. When Jordan Travis went out of the game, I knew he wasn’t returning, and I chalked the game as a loss.

However, the Noles keep fighting, and the defense made just enough stops, and the offense made just enough plays to get the job done. Tate Rodemaker hadn’t given his teammates any reason whatsoever to believe in him from previous outings, and I’ve seen some FSU teams that would have folded as soon as Jordan Travis left the game.

When Tate Rodemaker threw the interception late in the second quarter, giving the Cardinals good field position? I thought the game was over at that point. Louisville was already winning 21-14, with Louisville getting the ball on their 42-yard line.

The Cardinals had the ball on a short field, and if they scored to go up 10-14 points before the half? However, the defense forced a three and out and ended the offensive threat.

That stop was key because FSU football got the ball first to start the second half and ultimately scored a touchdown to tie the game at 21-21.

Every time Louisville tried to pull away, FSU had an answer and made enough plays to get the win. If they were ever going to quit? Friday night’s game on the road facing that adversity would have been it, and they didn’t.
