FSU Defense

Duquesne ran the ball 57 percent of the time last year, and that trend likely continues Saturday. However, I don’t suspect they’ll have much success, which will put them in obvious passing situations.

How will the defensive ends look? I’m interested to see what Jared Verse and Derrick McLendon can do in a game setting. How much Patrick Payton and Byron Turner will we see?

I’m interested to see if they can get off the field on third downs. How will the linebackers look in coverage? How much of freshman Omar Graham Jr. will we see?

I’m curious how Renardo Green will look at the field corner spot. How much Azareya’h Thomas will we see in the secondary?

Will there be a noticeable dropoff once Robert Cooper and Fabien Lovett come out of the game?

These are the types of things I’ll be looking for Saturday night. These players and how they play in these situations could be foreshadowing.
