September 16th @Louisville

This game is the most important game on the schedule. If the Noles win this game, everything is still intact from a recruiting standpoint, and they can still likely reach the eight-win mark.

This game will be the first true road test for the Noles, but they will have had a bye-week to prepare. Louisville won’t have a cupcake before this game, so they can’t spend too much time preparing for the Noles.

Last year’s game was a tale of two halves with Louisville spanking the Noles in the first half before FSU found some success in the second half to make it a game. The difference in the game was Louisville’s success converting third downs(9 of 19) and FSU’s inability to sustain drives.

I think FSU’s offense will show better than last year, and FSU’s defense should be better overall. It’s a tough place to play at night, but this team played well at Clemson last year. I think the Noles finally break through and take the Cardinals out.

Scoring Prediction: FSU 34, Louisville 30

Projected 2022 Record: 2-1
