Wide Receivers

This one isn’t necessarily a concern, but more of they have to go out and prove it in a real game. I’m probably more bullish on the wide receiver group than most because they have several things in their favor the team hasn’t had in quite some time.

The transfer portal guys had spring camp and summer with the program, so their familiarity with the offense and chemistry with the quarterbacks should be much better than Andrew Parchment’s experience last year as a transfer.

Also, these guys have talent. Mycah Pittman is a former top 100 player, Johnny Wilson ranked No. 115 overall, Malik McClain and Ja’Khi Douglas were blue-chip recruits and have experience in the offense.

Deuce Spann is raw but arguably the most talented of the crew, and Winston Wright, when healthy, has been the most productive.

Ontaria Wilson is a solid third option with experience. It’s all about executing when the opportunities come their way.

The QB play should be better, and the offensive line should hold up better than in years past. These guys have to go out and show it for this offense to be as dynamic as it needs to be to win eight games.
