Parting Thoughts

Just looking at the schedule it would be easy to assume more of these teams would have better defenses.

As I mentioned when talking about the offenses, teams can improve drastically with talent acquired from the transfer portal.

Clemson returns a lot of talent but lost arguably the best defensive coordinator in the nation. NC State returns a lot of production, but Lousiana lost a lot from their team, and their coach Billy Napier took the job at Florida.

When I look at these teams, FSU has more talent and experience on defense than at least seven teams on their schedule. If the Noles produce a top 30 defense or better, I think that’ll be more than enough to secure at least 7 or 8 wins in 2022.

FSU football needs to have their offense and defense in sync. They can’t afford for the offense to be inefficient or stall like the first few games in 2021.

If these opposing defenses don’t make significant jumps in 2022? I think the FSU offense can do some damage as long as they can stay healthy at QB.
