FSU football: Fallout from Chris Parson de-commitment
By Kelvin Hunt
Must Land Brock Glenn
Mike Norvell and Tony Tokarz must land four-star QB Brock Glenn at all cost, or all of this will blow up in their face.
They made a calculated gamble to keep recruiting Glenn after Chris Parson’s father went on social media and tried to bully them to stop recruiting other quarterbacks.
The other target Rickie Collins looks like that’s not an option, and neither is Parson, which leaves Brock Glenn. FSU looks to be the school trending for Glenn, which prompted Parson to de-commit and try to get ahead of looking like he was running from the competition.
Glenn has offers from Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, and tons of other schools. If Glenn commits to FSU in the next few days or by the end of the month, does that mean he is shutting his recruitment down?
He still has some official visits left. Does that mean he’ll still take them? If so, the coaching staff is back in the same position they were with Chris Parson. A QB committed but visiting other places isn’t a good look, especially this late in the recruiting cycle.
What happens if Ohio State or something like that circles back around for a late push in the recruiting cycle?
One thing I’ll be looking for is what Glenn communicates if he commits. If he says his recruitment is shut down and doesn’t plan to take any other visits I’ll feel better.
