Skill Positions

The skill positions are where most of the angst from the fan base goes. FSU has two wide receiver commits that often get forgotten about, but I think both are quality takes.

They recruited Jalen Brown hard, but he committed to LSU recently. That leaves two top targets in Shelton Sampson Jr. and Hykeem Williams. The former hails from Louisiana and officially visited last month, plus his former high school coach is on the FSU staff.

The latter is best friends with 2022 linebacker signee Omar Graham Jr., and most believe Williams is the most realistic shot at signing a five-star wide receiver. FSU could get back into the mix with Jalen Brown if they have a strong season.

Adam Tompkins is another blue-chip receiver that has been on campus a ton. At running back, the Noles have two top targets in Daylan Smothers and Samuel Singleton. The two players officially visited at the same time last month, with Smothers trending towards Oklahoma.

FSU looks to be in a good position with Singleton, but he may visit Penn State later this month. I think it’s clear his parents want him to stay in-state. They also have three-star Christoper Johnson in the mix. I’m not sure what FSU is doing at tight-end, but they have a gazillion on the roster.
