Coaching Staff

I don’t think the coaching staff ever told Chris Parson he would be the only QB in the class. If so, I think he would have communicated that in some fashion as these new offers have gone out.

What I believed happened was he was someone they really liked who had ties to FSU, plus they had some recruiting momentum last summer, and the commitment went down.

I don’t think they would have accepted his commitment that early if they didn’t think he could play at a high level, not to mention he was a three-star with only a few offers then.

However, after experiencing the season and how injuries to Jordan Travis affected everything, I think it became clear they needed to take two quarterbacks.

Glenn and Collins emerged as realistic targets as they did more scouting this spring, and the offers went out. Obviously, the two players have some interest in FSU since they scheduled official visits so quickly.

Glenn has gone on record that he’d like to commit sometime relatively soon, and Collins seems close to the vest. However, if one of these guys comes off the board, it’ll create a domino effect.
