Experience

I covered the talent on the defense, and that’s not including some blue-chip reserves and freshmen, who could take some snaps away from upper-classmen.

Almost all of those players listed have real game experience and played a lot of snaps, whether they were at FSU or elsewhere.

There’s experience at every level from the defensive line, linebackers, and the secondary.

The good news is most of these players already have experience in Adam Fuller’s defense. He knows their strengths and weaknesses better than he did at this time last year. Those four games early in the season where he was mixing rotations (partly due to injuries) should be eliminated for the most part.

Adam Fuller has proven he can make big improvements in his first year with a new program. I don’t think last year’s improvement was a fluke considering Fuller has shown major improvements in defenses at other stops before FSU.
