Parting Thoughts

Listen, FSU has to take two quarterbacks in this recruiting cycle. They only have three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster, and only one of them has any real game experience.

Not to mention FSU has had QB recruiting drama in the last three recruiting cycles, with players wanting to be the only QB taken and de-committing.

The coaching staff can’t afford to go that route again, no matter how much a recruit tells everyone they are 100 percent committed. Travis Hunter Jr. put an end to that when it comes to FSU recruiting in the last recruiting cycle.

I can understand Parson visiting where his parents are alumni, but it’s also not a good look. It’s difficult for the supposed leader of the recruiting class to get others to join him in a recruiting class if he’s visiting elsewhere.

It doesn’t send a good message to the current list of commits, either. Parson may be working behind the scenes, but he’s not as vocal on social media, and elite skill players aren’t exactly lining up in droves to play with him.

We’ll see how it plays out, and I’m certainly interested to see how he reacts if another 2023 quarterback commits to the Noles.

Will we have another Nicco Marchiol situation where a guy says they are fine with the staff taking two quarterbacks and bouncing as soon as another commits?
