FSU football: Is 2022 team way more talented than 2021 squad?

New Additions

As I mentioned, the Noles brought in 23 `new additions in the spring semester and a couple more will join this summer. Here’s a look at those players and were they ranked:

  • Azareye’h Thomas- No. 90 nationally (4-star)
  • AJ Duffy- No. 174 nationally (4-star)
  • Julian Armella-No. 152 nationally (4-star)
  • Jaylen Early-No. 326 nationally (4-star)
  • Qaeshon Sapp-No. 367 nationally (4-star)
  • Rodney Hill- No. 437 nationally (3-star)
  • Daniel Lyons- No. 474 nationally (3-star)
  • Aaron Hester-No. 475 nationally (3-star)
  • Bishop Thomas-No. 490 nationally (3-star)
  • Daughtry Richardson-No. 589 nationally (3-star)
  • Omar Graham Jr.-No. 630 nationally (3-star)

That’s a lot of new faces with many of them considered blue-chip players. Some will likely not be factors in 2022 because of the need to develop at their respective positions. However, lots of these guys will be counted on to contribute, and almost all of the players from the transfer portal came from Power 5 programs(unlike those that left FSU for the transfer portal). Out of these listed, 12 of them are blue chip players, or were blue-chip players as high schoolers.
