Key To Victory
Clemson’s a solid team whose conference record doesn’t reflect it as they come into this game winners in five of their last six.
They don’t beat themselves with errors and several hitters in their lineup have some pop. However, they strikeout 30 percent of the time, which isn’t a good sign for them with the arms FSU has on the mound. As long as FSU pitchers work ahead in the count and avoid walks they should be fine.
Clemson pitchers issue a lot of free passes, while averaging a strikeout per inning. FSU has had better at-bats in the last few games and they’ll need that approach again in this series. They are at their best when they strike early in the games and give FSU pitchers some cushion. They’ll have a great shot at winning this series if they can get on top early and let FSU pitchers do their thing.
Friday’s game will begin at 6 p.m. ET and air on the ACCNX channel.
